The Board has a number of programs in place in our schools and workplaces to model environmental sustainability, including:
Water bottle refilling stations to reduce the use of water bottles
A tracking program which measures and evaluates electrical demand and consumption in ‘real-time’ so schools can track their energy use
Waste reduction programs, including vermicomposting
Litterless or boomerang lunch program
The Board believes that all learners, leaders and community members have a shared responsibility for minimizing their impact on the environment and for taking an active role in protecting it.
